To say this year has been a whirlwind would be an understatement, and yet here we are at the big o-n-e for Miss Charlotte. She is the sweetest, but also sassiest, little thing.
Her attachment to mama is strong, and it takes her a little while to warm up around other people. When we went to take her first year pictures, I was very thankful I tossed her “lovey” Slumberkins fox in my bag because she was NOT letting mama put her down at first. We usually keep this little fox at home and have a different travel Slumberkins, but it was so sweet seeing pictures come full circle with it.

Just look at that little nugget!

l have been taking Charlotte’s pictures every month with the blocks we made her, so of course those needed to show up for her birthday pictures too. I knew she’d find the blocks familiar and fun, so it was the perfect transition from her lovey. I’m actually shocked we got a picture with her whole name visible.

True to form, she had a PARTY with those blocks and they were flying everywhere. This face though!

Then it was TIME FOR CAKE! Her older brother had an epic cake smash with his first big dessert taste. Being the second child, Charlotte has already had plenty of opportunities to try cake though. ha! I wasn’t sure if she’d be into it or not.
But can we just take a moment to appreciate this gorgeous set up? Shades of pink, swoon! I also used the same white hair bow from her newborn pictures, which I thought was a nice touch too.

She enjoyed her cake! That tongue, the little toe in the icing… my heart!

She wasn’t nearly as messy as her older brother, but I think she was for sure sweeter. Don’t tell Carter.

Success!

Here’s to many more years of this little lady keeping all of us on our toes. We’re having a small “some bunny is turning one” birthday for her this weekend, so I’ll be sure to share those details soon.
