Carter and I love crafting together and it was time to update our handprint/footprint art for spring. Just look at my cute little partner in crime with marker on his face and joy in his heart.

This time I decided to do “flying into spring” with a robin made out of his footprint. While you can use paint, I highly recommend washable stamps. I like that they show the fine details of his prints, aren’t as messy as paint, and wash off easily with a baby wipe.

We also introduced something new… glue sticks! He was obsessed and stuck all the scraps to our practice paper.
This would make such a cute project for preschool too. I opted to cut the orange pieces out of paper instead of drawing them on to create a mixed-materials project, plus Carter was able to help me glue them on this way. He needed my help coloring in the lines for the belly, but they turned out so cute! I like using a printable to get started, but older kiddos could totally draw their own tree branch and leaves. I love how each one has its own personality!

We use these as gifts for the grandparents each season. When Carter was born, his first one was his birth stats and we gifted each set of grandparents one in a frame. Now we make sure to update it several times throughout the year. So easy and cute!
